Covanta faces labor chargesBy Luther Turmelle, North Bureau ChiefThe National Labor Relations Board has charged the operator of four Connecticut trash-to-energy plants with unfair labor practices. The charges are in response to claims made by the Utility Workers Union of America against Covanta Energy of New Jersey, which operates plants in Wallingford, Bristol, Hartford and Preston.
